A Brief Introduction to buttons
There are many buttons in the world, some of the first types of buttons were the toggle and loop buttons. These buttons' sole purpose is to fasten. The buttons were often made of materials such as bone, leather, or wood (1). As time progressed buttons became more sophisticated and artistic. Instead of using bars to fasten wardrobes the world began using more sophisticated buttons and button. In the 13th century in Medieval the button hole was created and popularized, this revolutionized the button world leading to more inventive buttons (2). Buttons became more beautiful and came in new shapes, sizes, and materials. Italy began making beautiful buttons in the 1600s and 1700s. They often gave this job to goldsmiths and jewelers to make intricately designed buttons (3). Production grew and the more artistic form of buttons became more popular, especially among the wealthy.
